cloudThing is a bright and agile software company with a reputation for designing, developing and building quality web, mobile and cloudy products. We are always searching for that sweet spot where clever architecture, nascent tech and the opportunities presented by the cloud enable us to create something special. We operate a seasoned agile approach to project delivery in a serious, grown up but vibrant and fun environment.

cloudThing are actively seeking an experienced User Experience (UX) Researcher. As a UX Researcher you are an empathetic, inquisitive, organised, critical thinking individual. You work tirelessly to understand the problem and challenges ahead, applying a variety of methods and approaches to finding out how users tick in the context of these problems and challenges.

You listen, observe, and ask the right kinds of questions to gather insights that can be translated into actionable ideas and requirements.

You will be pivotal in helping define and drive the design and development of our clients’ products and services. You will reveal what users need by conducting research, working with cross-functional teams, and performing usability testing. These responsibilities also include inspiring change, delivering oral and written presentations, evaluating research data from a range of sources, and helping the User Experience (UX) team better understand what would make a user’s experience more intuitive, inclusive, and seamless.

You should also have experience in designing/influencing a user experience or have worked with experience design teams that focus on a user centred design approach to delivering products and services. You will have a level of technical knowledge that means you are able to understand business requirements and any technical limitations to suitably communicate with users, design, and development teams.
